MANIFESTO (II)

INDIAN WAY

Motto: “Perhaps destiny is written, but our desire will try to change it”.

Indian Way: an example of struggle and tenacity.
"Indian Way" is the real story of friendship and survival of Anthony and Rama, two Indians who travel on foot over hostile barren terrain during one week, from the coast of Pondicherry to the big city of Bangalore. Anthony is a ruined peasant looking for work. Rama is running away from his terrible past. Despite professing to different faiths, speaking different languages and being from different castes, they overcome their differences and help each other survive.

The meaning of life.
Many people have nothing or almost nothing to live, and every day are summed up by the fighting for survival and to avoid the own annihilation. This is the fighting of the Indian Way's characters, the fighting of all of us everyday, the people's fighting to find the own place in the world to feel as an unique person. Inside this prison that human beings have created for themselves
called society, there are not only poor people, everybody is within it.
All of us are tied to offices schedules, cultural rules, social hierarchies...
Each of us, despite the oppression of the society,
is hopeful to reach the deserved destiny in life.

Indian Way' movie: a universal vision of freedom.
The meaning of life should be that everyone is able to sense the meaning of everything: where we come from, who we are and where we are going. Every day many of us face against a destiny that seems written beforehand. This is the fighting of the main characters of "Indian Way, a mirror to any brave person who wants to undertake a similar path and decides to live a full and authentic life.

Not a easy path: Inertia collapses us.
In the crisis in which we are living nowadays, a worldwide social, economic and moral revolution is upcoming. In this sense “Indian Way” is a metaphor of the search for change in an environment which resists to any kind of alteration. As Bertolt Brecht quoted, “The crisis occurs when what is old does not die, and when the new is not just born”, and this is the situation where our civilized world is at present. In “Indian Way” our main characters fight to believe that this change from old to new is possible, a change in the manner of their own lives.

A common hope: "the butterfly effect".
If each human being from this planet does something to change the world, even with a small & simply gesture, our world will can change. It is "the butterfly effect", a concept of chaos theory. The “flapping” in the same direction from different people worldwide can change the humanity's fate.

"Indian Way",with its modest contribution, whises to give consciousness about this global
social struggle and it bets in the belief that a more just and egalitarian world is possible.
